While Pure Titans are mindless and Abnormal Titans act unpredictably, the Beast Titan retains full human intelligence and speech. In the story, Zeke Yeager used this power to orchestrate complex military operations against the Survey Corps. In Their Own Story

In the year following the battle of Shiganshina, Zeke Yeager orchestrated an attack on the Marleyan capital of Liberio. During this operation, he utilized the Beast Titan to support Eren's infiltration. Later, during the invasion of Paradis by Marley's air fleet led by Reiner, chaos broke out as Zeke and Eren reunited. Their meeting led them to the Paths, atemporal gateways connecting all Eldians through time and space. There, they encountered the consciousness of Ymir Fritz, the original Titan.
