To prevent these weapons from being used against them again, they isolated all Subjects of Ymir within specific zones, effectively creating a caste system based on ancestry. Life within the internment zones is defined by restriction and propaganda. Eldians are forbidden from leaving without special permission and are constantly reminded of their 'sinful' heritage. The government promotes the narrative that Eldians are dangerous beasts who must be controlled for the safety of humanity. This indoctrination is so effective that many Eldians internalize this hatred, believing they deserve their plight. The Warrior Program serves as the primary mechanism of control and exploitation. By selecting children to inherit Titan powers, Marley offers a glimmer of hope—a path to freedom or restoration of honor. However, this comes at the cost of becoming a weapon of war, often sent on suicide missions against Paradis Island.
