In Their Own Story

As chaos ensues, Armin attempts to flee but is cornered; Eren pushes him out of harm's way, sacrificing himself so Armin can survive. Devastated, Armin continues fighting until Mikasa and Captain Shikishima arrive. When a mysterious Titan emerges from within another to battle the horde, Armin learns that this new Titan is actually Eren. In Part 2, after Eren is captured by Kubal's forces for being a threat, Armin joins Souda in pleading for Eren's life, though Souda is killed during the confrontation. Later, Armin helps retrieve an undetonated bomb from the ruins of Monzen with Hange and Mikasa. During the final battle against Shikishima's coup, after Sannagi sacrifices himself to destroy a weapon stockpile, Armin assists Eren and Mikasa in escaping. When Kubal transforms into the Colossal Titan, Armin is shot by him but is saved when Sasha shoots Kubal down. Ultimately, Armin sets the fuse on the bomb that closes the wall breach.
